A goddess in Slavic mythology. The only female deity whose idol stood in the Kiev temple erected by Prince Vladimir, along with the idols of other gods. In the "Tale of Bygone Years", when listing them, the goddess Makosh closes the list starting with Perun. Her image is associated with spinning and weaving, as well as with fate and crafts.
